John 15: 4-6             

           4. Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

           5. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, bears much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing

           6. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast as a branch and is withered and they gather them and throw them into the fire and they are burned.

With these words Evelyn found what was missing in her life.

For many years she went through the motions of religion.

She knew about God but didn’t know God.

She spent many years in church and got really excited about what she heard about God though she never knew who he was.

All the time she felt something was missing. However, she never could put her finger to it.

Even though she felt something was not right,

she remained faithful in going into the house of God and hearing more and more about Him.

Her faithfulness moved God and one day he gave her a revelation.

She had read John 15: 4-6 several times, but it did not impact her in any way;

until that blessed day when God opened the eyes of her understanding and she saw Him in all of His glory.

She got a revelation! She connected and realized what was missing.

She heard it clearly: RELATIONSHIP!

So it was that God met Evelyn at her point of need. She would never be the same.
